This custom fabrication project is a great example of what our shop can do with metal-working and engineering. 

Our customer came to us for a custom roof access ladder to allow workers on and off the room safely. This ladder allows the exhaust vents for his restaurant and air conditioning units to be maintained and serviced properly.

We also built a safety cage on the top side to keep three points of contact on the ladder to allow workers to turn around. Additionally, on the bottom of the ladder we built a mesh locking cage to keep unauthorized personnel off of the roof.

This ladder was made out of mild steel 1-1/2″ square tubing and the rungs are made of 1″ .120 wall round tubing. The entire project was MIG welded, then finished with a standard urethane exterior paint.
